Our approach
A straightforward process, without the fuss.
We start small, move at a pace that works for you, and don't hand over anything until it actually works.
30–45 minutes
First conversation
We start with a call or message — whatever suits you. No agenda, no sales pitch. You tell us what's taking too long, what keeps breaking, or what you can never get a clear picture of. We listen and ask questions. By the end, we usually have a good sense of where the pain is.
A few days
Look at the current workflow
Before building anything, we take time to understand how things actually work right now — not how they're supposed to work. That means looking at the tools you use, the spreadsheets, the manual steps, and the gaps in between. Sometimes this changes what we thought the problem was.
Together
Pick one useful problem to solve
We don't try to fix everything at once. We agree on one clear problem that would make a real difference if solved. This keeps the project focused and means you see something working quickly, rather than waiting months for a big rollout.
One to three weeks, typically
Build a simple first version
We build something small and useful — not a final product, but a working version you can actually try. We keep you updated as we go and ask questions when anything is unclear. There's no going quiet for weeks and then presenting a surprise.
A few rounds of feedback
Test it with the team
You use it. Your team uses it. We watch what works and what doesn't. This is the part most projects skip, and it's why most tools get abandoned. We stick around through this phase and fix what needs fixing.
End of the project
Clean it up and hand it over
When it's working well, we tidy everything up, write plain-English documentation, and make sure someone on your team knows how to use and maintain it. The goal is that you don't need us to keep it running — though we're available if anything comes up.
A few honest things
- —Not every project is the right fit. If we don't think we can help, we'll say so early rather than waste your time.
- —Timelines depend on how complicated things are and how available your team is. We'll give you a realistic estimate before starting.
- —We prefer doing one thing well over many things halfway. Focused work tends to stick.
